Nora Barnacle House, Galway City

Nora Barnacle, the wife of James Joyce, was born here into the family of a baker. The house is open to visitors and displays a variety of mementoes including letters and photos.
James Joyce and Nora Barnacle went on their initial date on June 16, 1904, the date used in Ulysses, known as Bloomsday. He considered this date a radical turning point in his life.
