Ards Forest Park

Ards Forest Park encompasses perhaps the widest variety of landscapes of any of Ireland’s many forest parks. In addition to the coastal area of Sheephaven’s Bay, the park contains loughs, salt marshes, valleys and rivers.
Also interesting is the Capuchin friary estate, still inhabited by the Capuchins. There are several fortified prehistoric sites on the wooded grounds, along with a dolmen. There are also plenty of wooded trails for walking as well as a generous variety of available picnic sites.
