Situated on the river Blackwater near Benburb, the main attraction of the park is its charming antique weaving factory that still houses original machinery from the 1800s. Various galleries showcase displays detailing the warping, weaving, beetling and dyeing processes required to produce the finished cloth.

Visitors can stroll the site of the historic Battle of Benburb, located across the river from the antique weaving factory. Various exhibits recount the story of the 1798 battle for Irish independence.

The construction of Benburb Castle was set in motion by Shane O’Neill in the 17th century, with many structures added on in later years by British planters who followed.

The parklands also offer leisure activities for visitors, including golf, horseback riding and river fishing.
